Watch ‘The Book Thief’ author Markus Zusak on life and literature

The Australian author of The Book Thief talks to Vision at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in Dubai

Markus Zusak says that he "procrastinates in spades" when it comes to writing, but that hasn't stopped the Australian author from producing two highly-acclaimed novels: The Book Thief, about a German girl named Liesel Meminger during World War II, and The Messenger, which follows Ed Kennedy, a down-and-out underage taxi driver. At The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, he talks about teaching children at a school in Dubai, as well as why the audiences there are so pleasurable for an author.
